We normally make release every 2 weeks, but this has been bit delayed due to many reasons. As usual, almost all of the improvements in this release are based on customer feedback.

Before we go into feature details, we would like to highlight that we are already working on rewriting some of our front end and moving towards JQuery, which would make the UI much more responsive and improves overall experience. We are starting with rewriting Issue Tracker and then will move to ScrumBoard. In later posts, we will share more details about this initiative. Now, let’s have a quick summary of improvements.

GitHub Integration through web hooks

This is probably most requested feature and finally it is available. This should resolve many issues with Git. Please try and share your feedback.

Instructions are available under Integrations –> SCM

Better Email Notifications

Much needed enhancement for email notifications was to include the actual action, so user doesn’t have to go to Yodiz to understand what happened with the issue or user story. For example, now if the issue status is changed from New to In-progress, you will get this email message.

Improvements in ScrumBoard

  • Drag n Drop tasks from one story to another
  • Start Task Timer from ScrumBoard
  • Collapse tasks columns
  • Collapse UserStory: Coming soon
  • Export Issues on ScrumBoard
  • Open status filter
  • Pop-up for move to user story

Associate Sprint contents with Release

Now with single click you can associate all sprint contents to release. To achieve this click on Associated Sprints icon on ReleaseBoard, select from drop the Sprint and that’s it.

To remove association, you have to use either Planning Board or open each item and remove release value manually.

More status for User Story

To help manage product backlog better, we have introduced 3 new status

  • Pending
  • In Evaluation
  • Rejected

Change Login Email

Now it’s possible to update the Yodiz login email address. Simply go to your profile settings and update email.
